I have a 15 year-old well-merited veteran Monstera-Plant in my living room and I want to grow an offshoot from it for my office. It seems to be fairly simple (or at least: doable) from what I read on the internet (ger):

  1. Cut off a branch including at least one leaf and at least one aerial root
  2. Let that dry for at least one hour (this is to prevent mold build-up on the cutting surface)
  3. Put it in a container with water, submerging both the aerial root and the leaf node and – as usual – wait. Change the water every 3-4 days and let the shoot grow a good set of roots
  4. Once there, plant it into soil and see what happens

I’ll report on every (potential) progress here… 馃檪
