I couldn’t help but take advantage of the good weather today and plant my potatoes outside. I had already prepared the raised beds some days ago and so I took myself the hour outside and buried my “sproutlings“.

I had 12 pre-sprouted potatoes to deal with and they wouldn’t fit into the bed space all at once, so I dug out my old potato buckets and used them as well. You can find information on growing potatoes in buckets for example here or here – they’re easy to make and I already had good results from them in the past.

I will get some straw tomorrow and cover the beds with it for some extra protection. Now at the end of march, the nights can still be quite cold here in northern germany.

P.S.: Look at my gardening crocs!!! So style! Much fashion!
