Poor Priscilla in the middle of molting. She has already grown a lot of brand new feathers and many pinfeathers are waiting to develop, but she still looks like she got under a lawnmower.
She’s so grumpy and annoyed – I bet she feels like a young girl on her first period – but molting is a perfectly normal, yet very strenuous process for birds. The other girls are molting too, but Priscilla is most affected, therefore we try to feed her extra protein rations and vitamins and she’s gladly digging in. Anyway, luckily she’s getting better (and plushier) every day.
