I finally found time to continue working on my long-planned new outdoor knife. I wanted to create a sturdy, yet slender multi purpose knife to carry with me when I go fishing or into the outdoors. Here are some images:

It’s made from a 4 mm blank of 90MnCrV8 (1.2842) steel with a drop point blade, a serration for better grip* and a glass-breaker at the end. I don’t have big hands, so this time I made the scales a little slimmer for an easier grip (for me).

It’s of course not done yet at all, but fortunately I was able to take a great step forward.

*Edit: A Visitor wrote me that is called a “Jimping” in english – thank you!
