Homemade Gyoza Recipe. I love them.
(Serves: 2)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cabbage, cooked and minced
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tbsp Garlic salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Sake
- 4-5 green onions, chopped finely
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1 Egg
Dipping Sauce:
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp chili oil (Rayu) or sesame oil
Mix all the ingredients and set aside in the fridge for an hour. Thaw the gyoza wrappers and mix the dipping sauce.
Put a little of the mixture on a gyoza wrapper and fold. Techniques for example here and here (but I do it “freestyle”).
Cook in a pan on medium-high heat until the underside is browned. Add water until halfway covered and cook covered for about 5-7 minutes. Then remove the cover and let cook until the water has evaporated.
