Made these little creeps yesterday for dinner. They’re absolutely easy to make but are very flavorful and yummy.
Ingredients:
Gnocchi for two (about 200g each)
8-10 leaves of sage, coarsely cut
125 g butter
1 small shallot, finely diced
1 clove garlic, finely diced
Salt and pepper
Grated parmesan cheese
What to do:
Heat the butter in a pan over medium-high heat, once it’s melted add in the shallot and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes and stir often. The butter will foam and slowly change its color, but pay attention so it doesn’t burn, lower the heat accordingly if needed. The shallot and garlic should turn crisp but also not burn.
In the meantime prepare the Gnocchi according to the package instructions, then drain. Mine only took about two minutes.
When the butter becomes a light brown, amberish color, add in the gnocchi and the sage and stir so everything gets covered with butter. Let the Gnocchi brown a little and salt and pepper to taste. Serve with parmesan cheese.
