Yesterday’s dinner. Looks a little, let’s say, like something you have to get used to, but tastes like heaven. Simple ingredients and simple to prepare. Well, I didn’t have any mushrooms left yesterday, so I went without 🙂
Ingredients for two:
– 2 pkg. dried asian noodles
– 3 stalks green onion
– 150 g pork meat, thinly sliced
– 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
– 2 tsp. grated garlic
– 2 tsp. sesame oil
Sauce:
– 1 tbsp. dark soy sauce
– 1 tbsp. mirin
– 1 tbsp. oyster sauce
– 1 tbsp. hoisin sauce
What to do:
Mix the sauce ingredients and set aside. Chop the green part of the spring onions into fine rings and cut the white part into 1″ pieces. Grate or finely chop the garlic.
To a pan on medium high heat add a little cooking oil then the garlic and the green parts of the onions. Stir fry for 30 seconds until aromatic. Add the meat and fry until golden brown, about a minute or two.
Add in the mushrooms (Attention 🙂 no mushrooms in this picture…) and the white parts of the onions and stir to combine. Move everything to the sides of the pan, creating a circular space in the middle.
Put the uncooked noodles in the middle of the pan and add 1 cup / 250 ml of water. Turn the heat to high and cook the noodles, loosening them and incorporating them to the other ingredients in the pan. Let most of the water evaporate.
Pour the pre-made sauce in the pan and stir thoroughly to combine. Let the sauce reduce as desired and serve.
