I have so got to work on my presentation… A time-consuming, yet effortless and very rewarding dish:
Slow Roasted Beef Leg:
Pat dry the beef leg and rub thoroughly with your favourite dry rub. Pack in alumnium foil and let marinate in the fridge for two hour. Worktime count: 5 minutes.
Put the (airtight) packet into an oven-safe dish and roast in the oven at 140 °C for another two hours. Worktime count: plus 2 minutes = 7 minutes.
Set the oven to broil, unwrap the meat and mop with the BBQ glaze. Let caramellize for about 10 – 15 minutes, adding glaze to your liking. Done. Worktime count: plus 5 minutes = 12 minutes.
Dig in! Overall cooking time: 04:15, but with a worktime of roughly 15 minutes – now that’s economic!
The result is an ultra-tender and flavour-packed piece of meat to devour. I just had it with some lamb’s lettuce and my “easy flatbread” from the oven. Tasty!
