This guy has too much free time at his hands… 🙂 I made a cheese press, because I was offered an eBook on cheesemaking – for free! Well, I like cheese in almost all of its forms, so I’ll try that out. Here’s how it was made and how it’s supposed to work.

It’s made from readily available wood from the shop (i.e. scraps) and some common hardware parts almost anybody has lying around or can obtain easily. It’s a mixture from what I read is “dutch”-style (lever-driven) and a thread-driven construction. My idea is by no means the gospel, so feel free to adapt and adjust it to your liking, I’d be glad if you take my construction as a basis. It follows a simple, self-explaining  principle:
