Without further a do, my bevel grinding jig for knife making just … disappeared … (somehow, things in my shop seem to have a tendency for that when I’m around…). So I made a new one, this time from aluminium, since it’s simply easier to work on for me.

Well, an acquaintance who’s a metalworker by trade once told me that “aluminium is just gay iron”, but I think this contraption will do what I expect from it nonetheless 🙂

This time I made a countered gradient adjusting screw which enables me to precisely set the grinding angle using my small digital protractor. The first test with a bogus “knife blank” was successful at least.
