I’ve got a new knife for my pocket to carry everyday. Since the old one got a little wiggly over a two-digit number of years of (mis-)use and I generally wanted a new one, here it is:

It’s a “Haller” (a long-established german Manufacturer) that I’ve got from here for 18,00 bucks. This is my favourite outdoor supplier, since I’m from Frankonia and they’re too 🙂

Although it has plastic handle shells and although it seems a little synthetic, it is surprisingly sturdy and trustworthy. The inner linings are made of steel and the screw joints are fairly resiliant. It’s suitable for right- as well as for left handed people and it comes with a belt clip (which was the first thing that I removed – I just don’t need it). The liner lock reliably secures the really sharp blade in it’s open position and it’s also easy to release again with a press of the thumb. And, finally, I really just like the form of the blade.
