This miso spaghetti recipe is both easy and delicious. Give it a try!
Ingredients (for 2):
350 g Spaghetti
50 g butter
25 g light miso paste
Freshly ground pepper
Optional: 1 clove garlic, minced
Optional: 1 shallot, finely diced
Do this:
Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
In a pan, melt the butter and sautee the onion and garlic (if used) until translucent and soft. Stir in the miso paste with a whisk. Season with pepper – no additional salt needed! Add 100 ml of cooking water and whisk until creamy. Take off the heat.
Add in the noodles directly from the pot, using tongs and mix until everything is coated nicely. Serve.
Note: I only had dark miso paste at hand yesterday. I strongly recommend using the light miso paste as it tastes much more subtle and “soft” than the dark one.
